i don't own the show gilmore girls, or the characters portrayed in this drabble.
The arts have always been her thing - words and music and pictures and films.
(
it's not surprising that she sees people as these things in her head )

I especially like your description of Dean being compared to a children's book--nothing wrong with it at the time (it's quite perfect for the time, actually) and touching on the bit about comfort, but she outgrew him just as she outgrew children's literature in anything but a nostalgic way. People get so caught up in "Dean sucks" to remember that he was actually good for Rory in the beginning; he was nice and he got her used to boys and kissing to open her up for more adult relationships with Jess and Logan (and hopefully Jess again).
This was incredible imagery and I love everything about it. ♥

Also, I agree about the whole Dean situation. I'm definitely not his biggest fan, but he really opened Rory up to a whole new world of experiences, so I appreciate that.

The imagery of the ink smudging her fingertips for Jess is perfection. <3
(And, just for a personal POV, I love how it is so respectful to the characters. How there isn't a shred of 'Dean sucks' or 'Logan's a jerk' but just an admiration for people being what they are and not needing to be more than that. That maybe the idea of someone being a children's book could come across as dergoatory but is actually exactly what was needed at the time until it wasn't anymore.)
LOVED.
