I'm such an idiot. I saw, "Portland" and got all excited thinking that maybe y'all would move out west. *sigh* Then I read back and realized you're staying in MI.

Yeah. Honestly, I have to sigh about it myself. I'd rather be moving out west ;)

I had the same problem rereading, at 20 or 30, a lot of the swords-and-sorcery I loved when I was 12 or 14. I never read Foster's fantasy work, but having read his Star Wars novelizations, I can only guess he was loved by his publishers for being reliable, adjustable and easily digestible.
