Cologne isn't my favourite of German cities. Outside of the small historic centre its not too pretty and I too noticed that we got stared at a lot because of our attire, to the extent of feeling a little uncomfortable about it at times, something I've not experienced so much in places like Berlin and Dresden (not including Leipzig of course as they're well used to us weirdos!).

I was worried Zachary might get freaked out by the crowds and noise but he seemed to mostly enjoy the festival. He got up and danced during De/Vision and sat through 90 minutes of VNV Nation without showing any sign of boredom, so I think he may be a (future) futurepop fan!
Having managed to see about half of Icon Of coil's set due to the intense sun and lack of shade, we're hopefully getting a better look at them again (minus child) tonight at the O2 Academy. Seeing you there? :)

Will be at IOC tonight, of course! :-) Bizarrely, am maybe looking forward to Terrolokaust more, as much as I love IOC I have seen them so many times before and am loving the two Terrolokaust albums at present.

I was impressed at Cologne for havign so many museums, an opera house and so on; unfortunately these are not all ideal places to take a toddler, but I've bookmarked several more cultural features of the city to investigate in future years when I next go there!
