It’s not been the most eventful few days ever. I’m pleased to say that I still have my cold - it’s been in me for so long now, it might soon start claiming squatter’s rights. I’m sure everybody else in the office is tired of the sound my coughing fits by now and if I never taste another expectorant medicine again it’ll be a day too soon. And I can ( Read more... )

Good advice, thanks! I'm seeing the doc on Monday morning; I don't think they'd give me antibiotics for a cold, but I've got some Lemsip on my desk and a bottle of Potter's Vegetable Cough Remover (I didn't know there was such a thing as a vegetable cough!) so hopefully I'll pull through any day now. (looks hopeful)

does that potters stuff work? we used to sell that and it looked (and smelt) like the worst thing ever for taking as oral medicine. I particularly hated it if one of those was ever dropped...

It's... certainly quite odd, that stuff! My cough is an ickle bit better this evening, but whether that's anything to do with the medicines I've been taking or not, I really couldn't say.

It'd be nice, I'd love to see Canada... however, we're having so much hassle trying to organise a trip to a city two hundred miles away, I'd dread to think what a trip across the Atlantic would be like!

Prob won't be able to make Wednesday as it's a work night and Croydon is several million miles (as the Tube flies) from Harlow. Good luck though!

It's apparently some time on Thursday now, just on the off-chance that makes any difference? (looks hopeful)

Otherwise, I expect I'll see you around soon enough.

shame, I understand that due to Jupiter's gravitational pull Croydon is actually nearly ten miles nearer Harlow than on Wednesdays.

Am half-way through making your shirt now as well; just having some fun finding a long-enough zip...
