Blue moon

Feb 03, 2007 17:30

If I am to take the words of the fortune teller at exact face value, the new era of my life should have begun at 05:40 GMT yesterday - according to the astronomical data page of my pocket diary, that's when February's full moon officially began. I can't say I've noticed anything greatly different so far. Hmmm ( Read more... )

It was a bit of a "tracking people down" kind of evening (never an easy task in the Ballroom on a busy Friday night). Anyways, hope your sinuses feel better soon!

Thanks - I'm feeling somewhat better now, but decided that a second night out in a row might be tempting fate, so have gone for the fruit pulp and DVD(s) option.

It was nice to see you down there again anyway, it was just like the old days!

And I hope your sinuses improve. I'm getting a bit fed-up with all this "God's Great Design" and "The Pinnacle of Evolution" crap. If we were shaped like a stick, had an exoskeleton and the only tube in our bodies was a primitive alimentary canal we wouldn't have half the problems we have to put up with.

Ever seen a scorpion with Hay Fever? Or a bruise?? Quite.

Very true. I look forward to the day when the human body becomes easily customisable and I can have my own lobster-like armoured shell, which I could decorate with band stickers and other little knick-knacks. Oh well, we can dream... my sinuses are a lot better today, thanks. Alcohol does tend to set them off somewhat so I have nobody really to blame but myself. How are your fingers doing, by the way?

I've only ever found series one of Monkey Dust on DVD to date, but I assume the later episodes will eventually turn up for sale - I'm told they're already viewable on Youtube, but so far I've not made the effort to look them up. That programme truly is a work of genius!

He He!

The fingers are a bit more flexible today thanks.

Interesting scenario this...

Doctor: I see you've trapped your fingers in a door.
Lobster/Bloke Hybrid: Sorry. I thought this was a builders merchants. I need to get a new door.

Lobster claws would certainly take a toll on household furnishings and keyboards might well need a bit of reinforcement. On the upside though, packaging rage would become a thing of the past!
