Women could away find cheap things that men would find more expensive somewhere else. Even when it was the same object, the same make, the same colour with the same origin of production.

Women loved to go shopping and find cheap offers or sales.

but your right. i think in dinahs case she really would only be doing it for the thrill..while i can imagine that lois does it really for both... saving money and the thrill...
and chloe? i think she does it because she actually does enjoy this totally crzy way of shopping... :P
