This left me on pause when i got to the end. Tragedy brings them all closer, it's so sad a just wonderfully done. I like the little twist, instead of Dick watching Jason die he dies saving him instead. Excellent work!
It is a sad state of truth that sometimes tragedy is the only thing that can bring people together. I've always seen Dick as the kind of person who would do anything for the people he cares about.
I don't think Dickie's gone yet, but he certainly will never be the same.
Wow. This is beyond angst. This is kind of terrifying--and that's a compliment. It's scary how much I believe this. And even though you've got Dick losing an arm, it still feels like the horror comes from Jason realizing what he had all along and might lose--or at least will have paid so dearly for. Gah!

Good. I like to focus on the psychological aspects. Personally I think they're more terrifying than any physical trauma could be.
