where was this with the baby elephants? very touristy place?

it is called Knysna Elephant Sanctuary. Not very touristy - there was may be another four people there. But, of course, the season hasn't started yet.

would you recommend people to come there? what was the price?

it depends. If people are going from one National Park to another (like you), then not - they will see enough elephants in the wild. Otherwise, yes, especially for the baby elephants.

I don't remember the exact price. Something around 60 rands pp plus 20 rands for the bucket of fruit to feed elephants (good fruits, we ate have a buchet ourselves :-)
