Um, yeah. If it's LoVe, I'd prefer for them to have been apart for a few years. They need time to grow, y'know? If it's MaDi, do whatever you want. Deal with the Cassidy situation, though. :3

Um, songs...anything by Mayday Parade, Street Spirit by Radiohead, Sleepwalking by Beat Radio. Any of the songs from the album Folie A Deux by Fall Out Boy (the less mainstream ones). I can't really think of any movies that would be relevant.
