I prefer a fic based at least somewhat on canon, but other that that, anything is okay, and my Santa should write what they enjoy writing. If Santa enjoys writing it, I know I'll know enjoy reading it. So of course, a futurefic with lots of drama would be great. Don't sweat it, I'm sure I'll love it!
