I wasn't around for the agony of waiting a week for the new eps. to air, but I was around for the agony of waiting for my OnDemand to update with new-to-me eps. and for WB.com to do the same lol ( ... )

Tossup between the pilot and 'A Trip to the Dentist', with 'Echolls Family Xmas' a close runner-up. I just love the writing in all of these (and both ATttD and AEFC were written by Diane Ruggiero...oddly enough, she also wrote the two episodes I absolutely *loathe* the most, 'I Am God', and 'Poughkeepsie, Tr-' ...No, I can't say it).

I also really love 'Plan B', just for the plotting. I just rewatched seasons 1 and 2, and I was pretty surprised how emotional I got at that episode and also when Veronica is cheered at graduation. Season 2 always has a different effect on me, because by that point, I was watching live, and the end of season two...well, you know. It's better on rewatch, but at the time, I was like, wha-ha?? This time around, I was really watching for the clues to the Season 2 big bad, and I noticed there were a lot of times that the clues were accentuated by music cues.

that is exactly how i feel about david fury when he wrote for buffy/angel. so infuriating. i think "trip to the dentist" was the ep that got me hooked on needing to watch the next ep IMMEDIATELY. which made the summer between S1 & S2 really long.

the pilot first and foremost. the snappy wwriting, the acting. just....all of it. for some reason i just completely and totally identified with V. especially that flashback scene where w=she wakes up the morning after the party and is walking out. something about that scene just struck me and i was hooked.

that being said...1x15 is another classic. so funny. and the first one where i really started to LIKE logan echolls and really wanted him and v to be friends. and i liked leo!

as for the one i watch over and over...has to be a trip to the dentist. you get a little bit of everything. some sexy l/v time, serious angst, crazy plot twists. that was defionitely one that when it ended i just sat there and was like WTF?! what just happened? so, so, good.

my watch it over and over ep has to be "look who's stalking." i never get tired of that one. also i'm rather fond of "ruskie business," "weapons of class destruction," "a trip to the dentist," "normal is the watchword," "plan b," "happy go lucky," "not pictured," "show me the monkey," "postgame mortem," and "debasement tapes" (but that one mostly for paul rudd).
