right, so if my weekend consists of watching bittorrented TV shows, reading cyberpunk novels, and assembling a Lego Star Destroyer during the Superbowl... exactly how much of a nerd does that make me? it probably doesn't help for me to mention that I drank three cups of tea after 11pm, because that just adds "irresponsible use of caffeine" to the ( Read more... )

I hope you know that as a psychology buff, I thoroughly enjoyed this post. And I'm glad you're dressing girly and still doing all the work. I'm glad you're screwing with people's stereotypical preconceptions. It's awesomeawesomeawesome! And as far as school goes, well, no comment.

Well, you know how I feel about school and returning. pleasepleasepleasesaytheypayforit.

Anyways, way to rock the stereotype boat. Get those guys knowing that a pair of heels and kickass accessories does not mean helpless.

Also, I started my undergrad career at an all-women's school that specialized in biology and chemistry simply for the WOMEN who can do math?!?!?!?! thing I went through in high school.

Not only could I out squat most of my high school, I could out count them, too. Of course, that wasn't hard.

I think I'm going to mimic you and start referring to it as "my motherfucking thesis." I feel better already.

Funny story: when I was in high school and took the PSAT, I was taking chemistry and loved it, so I put that down as my area of specialization. I got good scores, and I was inundated with stuff from tech schools. A girl, a minority, who liked science? They were peeing themselves.

And then I realized I didn't like chemistry that much and wanted to do classics. :D

~Man, you're lucky you still have those precomceptions to mess with. Back when I was is school, all the guys trested me like some kind of a: outsider, b: potential girlfriend, c: scary thing that would eat their souls. (Probally not to far off on that last one...)

~At RH, I'm one of the guys. I'm expected to know my shit...and I do. I did whip out my Leatherman (I LOVE that thing), and embarassed the mess out of our resident 'good ol' boy'...but that's about it.

~I kind of miss messing with people's minds. :-( I suspect it'll change when I get on the phones. ;-)

~Good luck on the Legos! Post pics!~
