memo from the Q train

Aug 29, 2005 16:05

Am presently squashed between sleeping obese man and cute indie boy reading GoF for the first time. This is me, not complaining!

Ah, the Q train. I miss NY (heh, wait till I'm back and get swamped with work).

Totally off topic here: are you planning to go to The Witching Hour? From NYC? If yes, how are you planning to get there? Chinatown bus? Drive? Amtrak?

yeah, I'm going! I haven't made travel plans for sure, but I'm assuming, since I'm staying with my mom (actually, lemme know if you need a room, I think we have space still), that I'll be meeting up with her somewhere between here and Albany and driving the rest of the way together. That might change depending on my work situation in a month(?!) though.

omg, that'd be great! I have no housing plan whatsoever (my last resort was to crash at my cousin's dorm in BU :p), so any room & board offer will be great.

Hey are you still at Gallatin? I never got to "properly" meet you, maybe we can go grab a bite to eat together or something once I'm back at school :)

Sigh, work... good luck with all the grudge work.

cool! we've got a suite in the Salem Waterfront from I think Tuesday to Tuesday - I hafta be there on Wednesday for volunteer training, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to have a day on either side of the festivities to relax a bit. I'll let my mom know (or she may comment on her own - she's mommadala).

I don't know whether I'm still at Gallatin or not, honestly! My aid's been cut off since I've taken eight semesters already, but I want to finish up eventually because I've only got 11 credits left. I'm hoping to get hired fulltime somewhere at NYU so I can finish slowly, for free, but we'll see. In the meantime, I'll have plenty of spare time starting next week XP so yeah, lunch sounds great!
