The first two days of the line have been a smashing success, I'd say. It rained on and off all day yesterday, but owing to our five canopies (compared to the one little 8'x8' tent and, eventually, a lean-to we had in '02), we stayed remarkably dry, warm, and happy. We've been bombarded with free food, too - gourmet pizza and SW cereal and coffee ( Read more... )

Cleaves! That's awesome!

I don't think I'll be making myself one, as it'd look fucktastic on me, but it's still AWESOME!

Totally!!! I'm dozing off at my desk but I'm still so tempted to stay up and finish it so I can wear it tomorrow. I have one more inch of ribbing around the b00bs and it's on 11s, so it goes really fast. arrrrgh inner conflict!

my fingers are in my ears! not listening!!

I'll wear something tomorrow that looks nice with purple and would benefit from sleeves, and finish it as soon as I get to the line.

How are you doing on sponsorship this go round?

vlamidala May 2 2005, 07:20:29 UTC
we've actually done fantastically - we've got tons of sponsors for the line, and we're running a charity auction on eBay that's well into the quadruple digits with only a third of the items having finished. It's really awesome, seeing it all come together finally.

Otay! I finally fucking registered. :D

But... it says I should mail the waiver by April 23rd, which is kind of... last week.

I saw! yays!

where'd it say that, about the waiver? we (and by 'we', I mean Jon O:)) thought we'd fixed all those mentions. anyway, you can bring your waiver on Friday. at this point it's easier than mailing it for everybody involved.

we are so teaching jedirob to knit. bwaha!

YAY! Sounds good.

I'm in the process of showing Mike how this signing up stuff works, so hopefully he'll jump on board. :)

And, for a stupid question: if I just want to start dropping by because I'm having fun... can I do that?

And now back to pretending to write my papers that are due tomorrow.

oooooooh, awesome. he's gotta join!

you can totally drop by, and if you coordinate it with the shift schedule you can earn extra points and get a better choice of seating when we go into the theatre. That's what I did in 2002 - I signed up for the minimum (or close to it, anyway) but came for tons of other shifts. Geeking out is fun to the max, especially in the middle of the night.

go write!
