bandlist!

Sep 20, 2024 15:37

I'm totally cribbing this off of ursamajr but I don't care. Nor do I care that my list is rather teensy compared to hers. They don't do good music in upstate New York, at least not for '90s teenagers with no transportation.

bands seen, updated 10.4.06 )

music, bands, why new york is awesome, concerts

what! there isn't! I had to drive (well, my mom had to drive, as I was 14) like 3 hours to see Jewel open for somebody, and my mom made us leave when somebody offered me a toke. (IN FRONT OF HER. st00peh.)

I am so insanely jealous of you having seen the Darkness. They, like, refuse to play in NYC. They did an instore appearance last winter, before I'd heard them, but the closest they've come since is a stupid $90 radio show on Long Island. >:o!

Well, I don't think the Darkness came to Colorado, either. I saw them in Tempe, AZ. So they just suck then. ;p

Put on a good show, though.

The other one. The Beacon always surprises me with the sheer height of the place - but, <33333.

Hi, so sorry to bug you, but ursamajr told me to ask you about this. Do you know which stores and where in the city I can find it, thanks! :)

oh, no problem! The place I got mine is called Exquisite DVD, at the NW corner of 14th and 2nd. There are probably other stores with it too - they all tend to get their stock at about the same time. At least at Exquisite, you don't have to walk past the actual porn to get to it. ^_^

Yup! The real deal. All the street date stuff is enforced by an organization that porn shops don't/can't join, so they don't get in trouble for selling things early.
