I think I may be done with Doctor Who.

It's been a long strange ride, but there is no joy there any more. I'm stubborn and resistant to change so I'll probably finish this season but it's sad.

There used to be wonder. I mean, traveling through time and space? Who wouldn't jump at that opportunity? And some mysteries and puzzles and fighting to save ( Read more... )

Wow! How much perceptions can differ. I very much disliked the 10th and 11th Doctor and now I'm so relieved to see the current one who reminds me a lot of the days of the classic series.

I'm not sure why I'm having such an intense and personal reaction to this season, but it's certainly there. I physically cringe when I watch which is not a feeling I seek out in my fun time. I liked the last episode (Kill the Moon), not just for Clara's declarations, but the underlying ideas. Certainly not for the science (!)

Are they building up to Clara leaving the Doctor to live a normal life? I'd heard that, but also heard that Danny would join them. I'd like to see him on his own, or with a male companion, or an alien, or someone from the past or future.

Interesting! I am going back and watching some Classic to cleanse the palate as it were. What about Twelve reminds you of which Doctor? (Pronouns can be difficult when discussing Who!)
