Oooooh this is so sweet! I love it.

Is the conversation between John and Delenn in the last part referring to the plague from Call to Arms?

"Is the conversation between John and Delenn in the last part referring to the plague from Call to Arms?"

Yes, and in the second part, too. The plague would have prevented John from going home, from taking David to meet his grandparents, even if the pressures of his job didn't. In the interest of flogging the poor man, I had his mother die during the quarantine period. Cause it made my heart hurt, and I like that feeling.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love framing devices like this - three moments picked out from twenty years of moments, combining in one lovely story.

Sternly she added, "Those are for later. You must eat the foods in the proper order."

Oh, Delenn, I ♥ you forever.

Hee. You can't take the Minbari out of the woman. I've been on the receiving end of those beseeching looks; impossible to resist!

And it's driving me crazy but that tradition of eating out of order when eating outside I've read/heard of/seen somewhere. Aargh!

You know me. Bitter and sweet. Two great tastes that go great together. :)

How lovely! What a hardship the quarantine would have been. I love the idea of revisiting the same place at different moments in time. And the sweet is all the much sweeter because of the bitter.
