It struck unexpectadly in the middle of the yesterday afternoon. Wow, that was awesome, the clouds were like drapes and were flying low, touching the trees and bringing veils of rain with them. The wind was wild but fortunately not destroying anything but an old willow by the small lake.

Thank goodness it wasn't like some of the storms people are having. We had some in the east of France where the hailstones were bigger than tennis balls and were WRECKERS... cars smashed and roofs destroyed...even a cat killed. Unbelieveable the damage... we had them in Australia like that... but there, in the subtropics in Bris it seemed not... necessarily unusual.. NOT IN EUROPE!!!! Glad you didn't suffer. They have promised foul here for the next ten to twelve days. IS there EVER going to be a summer??

We were lucky, LooLoo, in a not very distant area they DID have hailstones like eggs and exactly what you write happend...minus that cat.
Badík tried to eat the hailstones, silly boy, but they were not sweet and he lost interest:-)
I have already cleaned the mess of blooms and leaves.
Ah, I must repeat, the distribution of weather is lousy this year. Well, come here? :-)

Poor you! You have my sympathy. You seem to be having the same sort of wierd weather we were having in April. Strange summer this year - I just wish we would get some sun sometime, grey skies are dull.

Aw, thank you, dear. So far so good but I do agree with you about a weird weather this year. Just wait, it might well get switched - then we will shake with cold and you will boil in tropical temperatures...:-)

Not long ago there was an area of this country where they are
feet of hail fall...........it looked like it had snowed heavily
Can you imagine the racket accompanying it?
