that's surprising.

I think my fic for trek_exchange is going to be based around Chekov and Sulu. *is surprised* And possibly Scotty - with nothing but background Kirk/Bones. What's happening to me? :D

But another Trek-related annoucement? Yes, there will be a third in the sealed/ fingerprints trilogy. And I think it'll be something more of an ensemble fic, but still with the ( Read more... )

Hurrah, a third part!!! I really love Chekov/Sulu, maybe even more than Kirk/McCoy sometimes, so I can't wait to read it!
Dude, Torchwood was awesome. As long as they don't kill off Ianto, but he seems to be out of danger due to decreasing woobie-ness, except for when he lost the SUV, which was just adorable. The brick-throwing...hilarious. I love Rhys being all logical and clever, though I was hoping to see PC Andy too. *crosses fingers*

TORCHWOOD!

:DD We had PC Andy tonight! I flailed when he came on, and my mum looked at me like I'd gone insane. *hugs Andy* He. Is. Awesome. That is all. :D AND JACK! *hugs him* Did you see his face when he'd just been broken out of the concrete cell? :( I just wanted to hug him so much... Poor bastard. ♥♥

Hurrah, a third part!!!
*facepalm* Oh, a third part. Yeah, the boys seem to refuse to let go of my brain, which can be annoying, sometimes. :DD

*hugs* ♥

Yeah, I was so happy to see him again that I was shouting his name instead of listening to what he was saying! Silly PC Andy, helping out teh eebil government assassin lady. The best moment in the new series is Ianto in a hard hat and fluorescent jacket driving a loaded construction vehicle (top speed: 10 mph!) away from the secret military compound, then dropping concrete-blocked Jack into a serendipitous Very Deep Pit. Epic maneuver.
Oh my gawd what will happen tomorrow? So excited!

Tomorrow? I MISS IT TOMORROW. The train gets back from London at 11, and I'll probably get home about quarter to midnight. *facepalm* So, first thing Thursday... iPlayer! :D

I. Cannot. Wait. ♥

I think my face just lit up when I read "fairly long with some thick plot"--and then I was in a blissful daze until I read "working on the fingerprints sequel"--that was about when I spazzed from the happiness overload and died...

well, have fun in London watching rowan and owen... hey, that rhymes! *attempts to pull self out of the drunken stupor caused by sheer happiness over hearing a sequel is in the works* XP

OMG you are seeing Oliver!! *dies* I so wanted to see it; far too expensive though :( Let me know how it is! Hope you've had fun.

Which one is Sulu? I get them all confused if I'm honest. I know Kirk and Spock and generally forget everyone else's names and/or faces.

I SAW OLIVER! :D Just got back, actually. My feet hurt - spent all day traipsing around London. And it is actually pretty damn awesome: the ensemble numbers are amaaaaazing. Although, I totally forgot that songs like "Consider Yourself" and "Oom-Pa-Pa" were actually from that musical, and when they started I was just like "... hey! *flails*"

:D It was cool. But, really, Oliver himself gets on my nerves: Fagin (Rowan Atkinson - BLOODY AWESOME, AND SO FUNNY!), Nancy and Bill Sikes (BURN GORMAN *FLAILS* OWEEEEEEN) are so much more interesting.

Anyway. :D ♥

And Sulu is the helmsman who left the parking brake on. :D And, to be honest, there are a lot of new characters in that film - it's pretty understandable that you'd forget them. :D

Aw, I'm glad you had fun and enjoyed it! Yeah, London does that to your feet, it's weird.

Argh, I'm so jealous! I watched the TV programme to cast Nancy and I'm so glad Jodie Prenguer (Prengeur? Pringer? Penguin?) won, she's awesome. Burn Gorman was good?! I was interested to hear he would do actually, I'm glad he lived up to your expectations :D

Aha! Yes. I know him. Plus, I've only seen it once and have a terrible memory *grins*

Prenger. :D Or, at least, that's what the program says. And I saw a couple of those episodes, but.. *shrugs* Reality TV's not really my thing. Unless it's The Apprentice. Because that's just AWESOME.

My memory for things academic/fandom-related is good. My memory for everything else? Not so much. :D ♥

*sad face* I miss them so much... especially with the new series, because there are so many opportunities for snark and doctorly stuff and technical expertise with a side of feminine exasperation and... *sniffs*

Yeah, Burn Gorman. He was epic. :D And so completely disgusting. But he's the 'bad' guy, so it's kinda intentional, I guess. ♥

Chekov/Sulu were always loved by the fandom...but I always saw BFFness only. With fandom I just sometimes have to worry if they just can't have normal friends? Like...half of my OTPs aren't OTPs in romantic way, but in platonic way only. It's sad...Have Jack/Daniel from Stargate: SG-1 for example. They're friends. The best friends. There's a perfect bromance between them. Or K/S in old TOS (I shipped S/M, but shhh)...I always feel sad when someone writes a fic about one pairing and they have to pair of every other character that appears even briefly there. It's a big trend especially in K/S fiction. They feel bad for Uhura (maybe) so they pair her off with Bones. Most of the time they also manage to mention Chekov/Sulu.

tl/dr: I just wish there would be more bromance fanfiction out there. Romance is sweet, but let's have some more normal bonding? *sigh*

[/rant]

*is totally cheerleading you all who are working on startrekbigbang BTW* I can't wait till 20th September.

... yeah, that's put so much better than my ramble. :D And yeah, the Uhura/Bones thing just irritates me, to be honest. Yes, nu!Uhura and nu!Bones are both pretty damn attractive, but the pretty isn't a good enough reason! Come up with a decent, flawed OC or something - don't just pair them off with canon characters that they have little anything with. *angry face*

And I agree with you - the world needs more bromance.

*joins in the cheerleading* :D

Yeah, September. *facepalm* Back to school, university applications, and BIG BANG! (I know which one is going to be stressing me most, too, and it's not either of the academic ones. :D) ♥

Truth to be told, I've read two or three really good fics that were centered on M/U relationship and the progress was believable and so was their relationship. I've never read any M/U fanfiction for old Trek. But those few good fics don't change the fact that in most of the other they're written badly...and OOC.

Back to school, university applications, and BIG BANG!

Oh my, now that you mention it...it's my last year of high school (High school ends when you're 19/20 years old here). Man, graduation...university exams. Ooooh my. I still haven't decided what I want to study! *shoots herself*
