yes, there is such a country. and don't laugh, but it's canada. i could never live there as it gets too cold...but i have visited ontario in the spring and it was lovely. my favorite thing about canada is the people. (i have to discount quebec though, because they weren't very friendly there for some reason...it's a whole different canada there ( Read more... )

even though you're in cali, you're still my canucky vixen, eh.

:)

i suppose my impression of patriotism here in the states is somewhat skewed in cynicism. but, from experiences with individual patriotic americans, i have seen more than enough of the uninformed pseudo-patriotism that skews my view of it as a whole.

hell, i live in oklahoma.

anyway, it doesn't anger me...it amuses me as it would to someone who wants to travel the world until she HAS NO HOME.

*chuckles*

I often wonder what Canada is like. I have a couple of good friends over there.. and I would love to go in Winter.. having never seen a White Christmas in my 25 years.. that is my dream..

And of course to meet you.. Ooo in the winter in the snow.

God what a dweeb I am. :)

i love your dweebiness. it gives mine permission to dance.

and i love a white snowy winter. one day you'll see one. and you'll love it.

it doesn't always snow here in oklahoma city in the winter. it did last winter...but it was kind of pathetic compared to winter growing up in northwest iowa. iowa has every season...and i'm a seasonal kind of vixen. i change each year by the moon, by the season, it's in my nature to change as nature does.

and sometimes it's hard to remember when which season begins and ends here, only slightly south of where i am from. but, i have been waiting for this midsummer equinox for some time now...

spring had washed out the hermit in me and washed up some need for drastic change and progression, and washed in the inspiration.

now it is time to do, to be, to keep changing, evolving...improving my life. and i shall do so.

:)

mostly, i love every place that doesn't have american flags on every car and god bless america tattooed on its ass.

Hear hear!
Alaska is a lot like Canada in many respects (not just geography) but we've managed to import quite a few assholes. I love it so much here but I can't STAND this idiotic blind patriotism. I think that one day I may move to Canada because it physically is similar to home but the people are better. :D

that's interesting...i felt the same about canada (toronto area) that it seemed to almost mirror the states physcially...but just a better feeling of QUALITY or something from everything, especially the people.

maybe i just had a really good spring break there. but i think it's something different in the water. or the air.
