*Teh Shrug* Not so much my business. I'm just sayin' what I been seein'. It's the Board in general-- like I said, it's no good just letting it become Dark And Edgy, but reading your response to Max's Permission Request kind of melted my eyeballs. And, obviously, it's not just you, since I think there's three more posts saying the same thing. I just feel like you could've maybe said that to him privately, maybe less humiliatingly? I know he's annoying, but if I'd gotten that response for something I'd posted, when I was a newbie? (Which I damn well should've, at times, because I've written things faaaaar shittier than his thing there) I would've cried. I mean, I flipped out at a verbal raised eyebrow from hS and... Gandalf the Beige, I think, and that was over some all-caps rant, complete with profanity, or something. Max may be annoying as all hell, but he's still got feelings. As do the rest of the annoying newbies on the Board/chat

About that, with Max. He was told multiple times over and over about the general thing of the PPC and ignored it. And when I checked with other people who gave him advice and opinions on the writing sample before he posted it, apparently they told him all the same thing except far more gently and it turns out he ignored everything they said, so. While I feel bad I don't feel that bad.

*shrug* I'm not saying he didn't need to be told. But what was the difference between the Permission Givers telling him, via "Hey, this isn't what we're looking for, sorry, pay more attention to your betas and try again later," and everyone else giving him pages of "This, this, this, this, this, that, this, and this are all SO WRONG HOW DARE YOU?"
