I swear, this makes me so frustrated.
Stuff like this, I mean. All of these conservatives wanting to discredit evolution in some way or another . . . it's just ridiculous. WTF? Oh, that's rich. Now they're lumping in everyone with any Christian beliefs at all with the fundamentalist religious right. If I had any Christian beliefs, I'd be very, very offended.
Though, wouldn't it be nice if critical thought were applied to all of the sciences? *grin* This little scheme would backfire awfully quickly if schools truly started teaching children to think for themselves.

What bothers me about the teaching of evolutionary theory is that a lot of schools teach it as fact, and don't even bother mentioning that it's not proven, nor will it (most likely) ever be proven, and they gloss over all other theories as "mythology", when, really, there is no more or less proof for any of them.
That's what my school taught, and it had me more confused than anything for a long time until I started doing some reading on my own.

And some people are bloody stupid. Holes or no, I strongly believe in evolution. And what's the point of teaching kids anything if we just teach them ONE WAY and ONLY ONE WAY and then send them out into the world!? Helloooo Big Brother. >__< NOT MY FUCKING STUDENTS, THANKYOU VERY MUCH MR. CONSERVATIVE-MAN.
