Ok, so this morning I went into my networked hard drive to delete a sub-folder I didn't want, and accidentally deleted the whole folder. Vista apparently thinks that things from a networked hard drive don't need to go to the recycle bin. What was in this folder you might ask? Yep indeed....files deleted from a networked drive delete and don't go to the recycle bin, have yet to discover any recovery method.

Is this a work-related networked drive? If so, the office would have backups, wouldn't they?

Nope, it's mine, just an external drive that plugs into the router so I can access it from both my work and personal computers. :(

I'm off to buy a USB to USB cable, in the hope I can make it just a regular drive and find it that way. If not, well, I can probably get about half of it back, since I spent the last 2 days uploading that half to my iTunes.
