Meh. Sometimes I question whether I should have kids in the future, because, like you said, I don't really want to pass on a mind like mine...However, you are a great person, Lizz, and if you ever decided to have children I do believe you'd be a great mom. While genetics make up a great deal of one's chance of suffering from mental illnesses, I've heard that a person's environment effect the severity of the illness. Since you one what it's like, you would be able to empathize and help them. As for paying a terrible price, only time will tell. But if you live how you'd like without intentionally hurting anyone, I think you will end up in a tranquil place.

p.s. I am addicted to SVU. And Stabler.

I absolutely understand you on the genes thing. There is always adoption though!

Everyone pays some price for the life they lead. There's some areas that could have gotten more attention or more effort. Some of us just have less attention / effort to give all around, y'know? We find a balance same as everyone else though (unless we don't which is something you can choose to work on).
