I entered that competition, but my "Pokemon" is still somewhat... disobedient. Does anyone have any tips?

I think the recommended way to get them to better respect you is to become a better trainer - to win more badges to show that you've defeated high-ranking members of the pokemon community, but you would have to go to another world for that... What kind of pokemon do you have? Maybe I can research them and see if there's certain things that it likes.
