My mom used to do that when she would sing 1960s psychedelic rock songs to us as kids. It took me years to find out the real lyrics.

She took out all references to drugs and sex.
It was a long time before I realized that "Yellow Submarine" was an actual album released by a real band, and not a kid's record. d-:

So she just hummed Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds at you?
I would've thought those sort of songs minus the drugs and sex would be more damaging to a young person because they'd confuse them to the point of brain damage.
