So glad it was worth the wait -- and hope the next one will be worth waiting for, too, unfortunately. :) I'm so glad you're connecting with the story -- I never know whether my crazy ideas will translate onto everyone else's computer screen! :)

I was checking every day for an update an dnow this incredible, amazing, beautiful series of words.

I loved it all, even the mistrust as it led to such understanding. Marian is going to have to watch herself around Vasey, he is definitely annoyed.

And I am sad that Will is dead though at the moment I am trying not to laugh as I imagine him dressed up as the NWM trying to vault onto a beam.

I like that Robin finally got to see Marian and Guy's passion for each other. What did he expect? Her to lie on her back and think of England or King Richard? (I'm sure Robin thinks of Richard).

Thanks for the update. You are a fabulous storyteller.

Richard/Robin is a great pairing. I know some people have written it, mainly about Richard teaching Robin who then demonstrates his prowess to Allan or Guy.

That was sooooo hot! And Marian is beginning to acknowledge that she has some feelings for Guy, whether she wants to or not!

And Peeping Tom, sorry, Robin got an eyeful! Tee hee! Well, we knew that would happen one day, the way he was always spying at Locksley and in her room.

Absolutely brilliant, as usual! Many, many thanks!

***Settles back in chair to wait for next chapter!***

Glad you liked the chapter, Leslie! Part of me thinks Robin may be a wee bit of a glutton for punishment, at least in this story -- it's almost like he's trying to catch Marian in a compromising position!

As for Marian, she does seem to be warming to him, doesn't she? I think we all know that no one could be impervious to Guy for very long. ;)

This was great! It strikes me again what a fantastic idea for a series this was, because by having Guy in on the scheme you've vaulted yourself into a completely different set of issues. And it means that your Guy can be very in charge of the whole situation because (some of) the insecurity issues have been dealt with. And I like InCharge!Guy.

Really fantastic, poetic writing in the opening section. I especially liked the description of a branch as a "rogue arm" and the imagery of everything being dead and dormant really heightens the atmosphere of failure and loss.

Bummer about Will. Good thing there's some really hot sex to distract me from my sadness. I loved seeing Marian get jealous, and I hope Guy really does believe that she's been faithful. And as for Robin . . . it's time for him to learn that when you run around and spy on people sometimes you get an eyeful. So there.

Can't wait for the next chapter! I think I may have been in withdrawal this past week.

I'd sort of been waiting for an idea like this to strike before even attempting to write in the fandom. I love the idea that Guy and Marian are forced to rely on each other in this fic -- if either of them wavers, they're both done. And getting to write a Guy who isn't clueless is also pretty great. :)

Erm -- I hope I don't cause too much withdrawal. Chapter eight's coming, but I've just started a new job, and finding writing time has been a bit of a crunch. But it will be posted as soon as I can manage, and I'm glad to know that everyone's excited for it! :)
