Amazing Show Last Night!!!
OMG. Such a great night!
Not only did the song totally stop the show, but I MET JIM STANECK!!!! *eeeeeee* And we spoke for, like, 10 minutes!!
*squee*
We were both at the sign-in table for the arriving featured performers, and I turned to him and blurted out: "I love you, by the way... I hope you don't mind."
He looked up and went: "Um... Uh..w-wait, what? Uhh.."
I am a giant dork.
But then we were chatting about how we both hope the success of Billy Elliot might finally mean a release of the Lestat recording. And then we talked about how we got involved with the N.E.O. benefit and our songs, yadda yadda. He's incredibly nice.
When I came offstage after the song at the dress rehearsal he practically squeed at me!
::jumps up and down like a freak::
He also asked me to introduce him to the composer, who is so ridiculously talented I can't stand it :)
It was a wonderful evening and I had so much fun meeting the other performers and playing "Who do we know in common". Turns out that we were all connected somehow or another.
And NOW, the composer just wrote me a wonderful note and friended me on Facebook! He's such a sweetheart. I hope I get to work with him again someday :)
