Loved this scene... The first chapter was quite violent, but it makes this story and the conversation with his father and kurt really moving in comparison. The russian bits are a nice touch, too.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I wanted to have first chapter be really disturbing, but that's about as violent as the fic is going to get.

it is interesting that Kurt woudl blame himself but also good to know Dave doesnt. because, honestly? even if Kurt have stayed, until dave was able to aknoledge his problem and ask for help? no matter what Kurt woudl have done would have helped

I really like this fic, it's very moving, I especially like how you write Dave's dad. I hope you will write more soon. :)
There is only one tiny little detail, and I know you might think that I'm just trying to be a smartass, but Karofsky (or rather Karowski - the original version) is actually a Polish surname, so they should probably use Polish, not Russian... They're very different, too, don't even sound similar.

No, I absolutely understand the nitpicking. :). I myself dithered and wondered whether it was Russian or Polish. Eventually I asked my polish friend, Sara (her last name is Wisniewski) and she said to go with Russian since 'sky' tends to end Russian names and 'ski' tends to end Polish. Of course now I see the Karowski and am pissed at myself :P. I will probably change all of it to Polish now.

Russian names tend to end with -ow, actually.
If you decide to change it al to Polish, I could proof-read it for you, unless you don't really care- I mean, for most of your readers it probably doesn't even make a difference. :)

Lol, thanks for pouring that out. I AM going to change it and would LOVE that. Google translate tends to be very awkward if my experience with French and Spanish is anything to go by. Thank you!
