Thanks. It's a plot bunny that's been gnawing on my mind for a while now. Finally figured it was worth a drabble. Of course, now I'm feeling compelled to extend it with more drabbles.

I played with that idea a bit in my other series at Twisting the Hellmouth, but for purposes of this story, no, he's just a brave mortal warrior who earns Valhalla, with his ex as his Valkyrie. I have an explanation ready for why he gets to go to the Norse afterlife, and he might become war leader of the Einherjiar under Odin, but he's not an avatar of Odin as such.

Although if Marvel Comics Odin had decided to teach himself humility rather than Thor (and really, which of them needed it more?), it's true that Xander Harris would work perfectly as his version of Donald Blake...
