Hi Dana, Mary Jo here! I have 2 Halloween memories that stay with me. 1) When I was pre adolescent my friend Lisa had a halloween party, and we were blindfolded in a dark room and led thru a series of "stations" where we had to feel disgusting things, like a pot of worms (spaghetti) etc and then bobbed for apples at the end...it was very cool and I've never forgotten it (and that was 40+ years ago) 2) when my daughter was under 2 i took her trick or treating dressed in a full body flannel black cat outfit (with pink inner ears :) and at one house we almost left as no one seemed to be home..then this ancient little old lady answered the door and had such a beautiful smile that embodied the joy of all her memories of her own and her childrens and grandchildrens past halloweens...she was so happy to see my little kitty and it made me very happy to bring that smile and happy moment to her.
Happy Halloween everyone!! May you also have happy Halloween memories to carry with you always :)

There have been so many wonderful memories. I am very fortunate. One of my favorites is when my kids were small 7 & 2 I took them to a mall to trick or treat. My daughter (2) was a little cheerleader, dressed in a red & white striped skirt, white sweatshirt with a red "C" on it, with 2 red pompoms. I entered her in costume contest as she walked across the stage shaking her little pompms with a big smile, her little sprouty pigtails, the whole audience was oooing & awwing. It was priceless, she came in 2nd. But it was 1st place to us. My son was vampire & a perfect one I might add. I dressed as a sorceress. I'm so lucky to have this memory. Thanx for the opportunity to share. Joni. J

My favorite Halloween moment has to be when my oldest daughter realized her brother was actually going to go trick or treating with her. See at three years old he tended to have no fear of anything. And she feared everything, but nothing would stop her from getting the candy, right. She is 6 at the time this happened. We went walking toward a haunted house and Jasmine, my resourceful daughter, told Colin, my naive, son, that they gave away the best candy here and that all you have to do is not be scared because the house is REALLY haunted and ghost give you the candy for you and your best friend, me cuz I am your sister. Meanwhile, I am listening to this and I can't believe she is getting him to get candy for her. But I'm also thinking "Wow at six she is a genius!". I turn to my husband and bet him colin would do it."Your on!" Colin goes up to the house unafraid at first, that is until the first monster jumps right out at him. He jumped and (at this point i was certain he would run right back) kicked the "actor", probably the

Dana Gurl,Trish here/ My favorite memory is when my dad was out of town for Halloween and my mom's youngest brother was staying with us. He was the family joker,we all loved it when he stayed. So, he was going out with some friends for only 15 minutes he said, but wouldn't let us see his costume,he woas to come back and get us. This horribly dressed person, can't remember how now.anyhoo, when mom answered the door it never said anything, mom kept saying soe you better answer me,he said nothein just kept pushing in thru the door finally when he had 5 crying kids he took off his mask and it was my dad,he came back early and kept it a secret from all except Joe. Of course it is funny now but at that time I was a little scared.
