Remembering Susan Garrett

Yesterday the world of fandom lost a really lovely little star, Susan M. Garrett. Oh no, I'm so sorry. I felt much the same way about MP (eurodiva); we'd only met a few times, but the world is a poorer place without her liveliness and passion. Many hugs for you.

Thank you for sharing your friendship with Susan with the rest of us. The more I read about how she has touched others, the more I both treasure the little time I actually got to spend with her at Dragon and online, and regret that I didn't attempt to have more interaction with her. She truly touched our lives in both big and small ways...

I am heartbroken over this and it's hard to explain to outsiders why I'm so upset over the death of someone I lost touch with and spent relatively little face to face time with. Your acknowledgement of rewriting the rules of grief is spot on.

I miss Susan, and I can't wait to see some of my friends in a few weeks.
