It is a story of forbidden love, one that was not to be acquired. Their goals were the very same and yet the paths they took were opposite. For them to see eye to eye, it was nearly impossible and yet they shared a special bond. One of friendship, and yet there was more to it than that. They had a unique trust in each other, even if they did things the other did not approve of, that in the end they would find a way to show them each other’s errors. Yes, it was a unique and strong bond, one that others could be envious of. A strong, inseparable bond that, even if their views conflicted. A bond that eventually turned into a sorrowful yet beautiful story of love, a love between the Commandant and the Vigilante. Both had their ways of bringing their enemies to justice, but they could not agree with each other’s methods. There were even threats upon each other’s lives, proclamations that they would not have any objections of doing whatever they could to make each other see the light. However, such claims pained them. To take the life of the one they loved was the last thing they wanted to do.
Yes, this is the story of love between Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo.
The meetings that occurred between them were kept secret from their comrades. No one could know of the true feelings they had for one another as it would only bring chaos to the Empire and the Union, and possibly judgment from those they considered their friends. It was painful, yet a life of separation from each other was something neither of them wanted. Their meetings consisted of simple musings among each other, how their days have been going, and what they have been doing on their travels around the world, how they have been contributing to the world they ever so love.
This night was no different as they sat upon a hill, overlooking the capital of the Empire. Flynn moved in to rest his head on Yuri’s shoulder, and Yuri moved his head to rest on top of his. Right now everything was at peace, no fighting between the Guilds and the Empire which allowed the two to enjoy this moment in complete peace. Yuri eventually moved his hand to find Flynn’s and intertwine their fingers - an action of complete trust and love.
“How long to you believe the world will be at peace like this?” the Commandant asked. A silly question coming from someone high ranking in an establishment that was meant to fight if necessary, however he preferred when the world was at peace.
“Dunno. At least for tonight.” There wasn’t much Yuri had said, but it was obvious he meant he wished to spend this night with Flynn in peace. Tomorrow he could go and fight his battles, but for right now, he simply wished to be with the one he loved like this.
After a moment, Yuri shifted just a bit to place a gentle kiss on the top of the young Commandant’s head. Looking up, Flynn couldn’t help but give him a soft smile, one reserved for their moments alone. “It’s a good thing you’re only like this when we are alone. I wouldn’t want others to judge us based on our actions here like this.”
“What others don’t know doesn’t matter,” Yuri said, with a slight snort, slightly teasing the other. But it was said in a way to comfort him, that everyone else wouldn’t know about this. About them. This was their secret, and maybe one day when they were comfortable with it, announce their relationship to the world. Some people would be naturally accepting, and they both knew that, however others would shun them. It wasn’t until they could accept the fact that their relationship with each other was so much greater than the relationships with their friends and loved ones that they could move forward. There was the chance they would have to keep this relationship secret for life, and if that was the case, then so be it. It was sad, having to think about it that way, but both of them cared too much about how others viewed them. No, Yuri knew Flynn cared too much about how others viewed them. And because of that, Yuri was okay with keeping this all a secret.
Perhaps deep down inside Yuri had cared a little how others viewed him as well.
“Hey Flynn…” Yuri spoke with a slight smirk on his face. Flynn looked up at him, curious as to what he was going to. “Yes, Yuri?”
Though instead of an answer, Yuri moved in to place a gentle kiss on the Commandant’s lips. That was exactly why he had wanted his attention, so he could do just that. Naturally, Flynn was a surprised by that action, but at the same time knew Yuri well enough not to be surprised too much. After a moment, Flynn pulled back to simply smirk at the other man. “You’re quite the sap when you want to be.”
Yuri had no come back to that whatsoever, and all he could do was laugh. “I suppose I can be, but for you, I don’t mind.” He knew Flynn wasn’t going to announce to the world this side of him, the loving side that was considered ‘sappy’.
“I love you, Yuri.”
Yuri could only let out a single chuckle at that. “And you said I was the sap.”
“And I never said I wasn’t.” Both of them could only smile at that. With a defeated sigh, Yuri spoke finally admitting the same feelings back.
“I suppose I love you as well, Flynn.”
“You suppose?” Flynn responded, acting as if he was hurt by that statement. But he knew well enough Yuri would never joke around with those words.
“Better than saying that I don’t love you.”
Flynn sat up, and looked over the peaceful scenery once more. “I’m glad to know that, and yes, it is better than you saying that you don’t.”
Finally, Yuri’s expression had to turned soft as he turned towards Flynn with a serious expression on his face.
“I love you, Flynn. And I mean that.”
That was enough to bring a genuine smile to Flynn’s face. To hear those words from Yuri was all he needed. Most certainly, their love would be a love that would last forever, no matter who supported their relationship… and no matter who may not have. If they had to fight the world, then they would!

[And then it switches from text to video function, where we see a pink haired girl looking rather hopeful about her story!]
Everyone, I wrote this story and I hope you enjoyed it!
[And right now, she doesn't quite find the fact that who she wrote about being romantically involved is...
...yeah. She's just too proud of the story she wrote and wants to share it with everyone. Good job, City. Good job. She will hate herself for this tomorrow, if not within in the next few hours.]
