I completely know how it feels to wonder what if after someone commits suicide. It's happened to me twice

I really want to start a project. I want to send the book and a journal to people, so that they can write memories of the people they knew who committed suicide. A memorial to them, of sorts.

I don't think you could have done much about it. Things do happen for a reason. When people think about committing suicide, don't they usually plan on it? I'm not sure if you talking to him would have changed his mind in one day if it was set.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Why not write a short story about it instead? It might give you some closure.

I know. It still doesn't stop me from wondering though.

I want to start a travelling journal of sorts. I've already posted information about it at PSC.
