The first things she'll hear, instead of Aloysius's voice, are music and laughter, and an older woman's voice- "You aren't really going to answer your phone now-"
"You have my endless apologies, but I really do have to take this - thank you - excuse me, hello, Aloysius Martel." He must be moving away, outside maybe, because the sounds around him are quieter now.

There's a discernible pause during which Aloysius neither chokes nor laughs, but could probably have done either. "I really have to be careful what newsletters I sign up for, don't I," he says, mild.
