I GOT INTO MY DREAM COLLEGE!!!!!!!!

I got into Mount Holyoke College!!!! It's an Ivy League school, and it very selective!

I JUST (like 30 seconds ago) go the letter! It starts "Congraulations again on your acceptance to Mount Holyoke College." WTF, I never got a first letter!?!?! What's this "again" but WHO THE HELL CARES!?!?!?!

I'm debating writing a letter to my fifth-grade teacher. He was my "last" (I started homeschooling part way through sixth, plus had numerous teachers then since we had periods and stuff.) He was also the best and my favorite teacher I've ever had (and that's no small number thanks to all the moving!!!)

I kinda feel that he would like to hear from an old student... but I don't want to sound all bragy... but then again, he might like to think he "had a part in it" or something... what do you think?

Well since he was your last you could say things like.
Dear Mr. so and so, I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work in grade 5. I thought I'd let you know that thanks to you I've gotten into 'The college of my dreams'. you were my favourite teacher of all time and I really think you made a difference. Etc.....

Something along those lines would be nice. A friend of mine was a teacher and she loved getting those kinds of letters and hearing how she had made a difference.

WOW!!!!!!!! Well done, so happy for you!! seems we've both got good letters. i passed the first stage of joining the police! next is an interview and tests in June.

In the technical sense, no, it's not an Ivy... but it sometimes compared to them as such, one of the "new Ivies." I should have state it differently, for that is what I meant to say... I was just SO excited at the time (I hadn't even finished reading the letter! I saw "accepted" screams "Holy shit, I got in!" and then hoped online!) It is one of the seven sisters, and is considered an Ivy college for women.
