How do you credit for an icon, by the way?

icon crediting is traditionally done in the place where you leave comments about an icon, when you upload it. the best way is to type something like "icon by visualthinker11". that said, you can also provide a link back to the icon-maker's profile, which is nifty... you can find instructions for that here: http://theofficepuffs.livejournal.com/profile ...they've provided pictures and everything!

Oh, thank you. I've been terrified that I was going to use someone's icon and credit them incorrectly and then the wrath of the gods of LJ would rain on my head.

hah- no i'm pretty sure you're safe. i'm fairly new to lj myself (past couple months?) and some of the more intricate rules probably still pass me by. they seem complex... but on the other hand, people are pretty forgiving. which is nice of them. ; )
