This scene - the final one of 'The Dark Knight' was one that really stood out for me in the movie!I was just so amazed the first time I saw it! So brilliant!
Here is my sort of tribute to it and the character of Bruce Wayne/Batman .

Woah!
The editing was simple yet so very, VERY powerful - it's given me goosebumps!
The music was very fitting especially as it built, and the overlays and auido's simply added to it :D

Holy. Frickin'. COW! This has got to be the fanvid to end all fanvids. Seriously Val -- you're amazing! I'm at a loss for words at how awesome it is, and I don't even use that word, LOL. It's utterly epic and fantastically powerful. The way you layered the sound and scene sequences was ingenious (I especially loved bit right after he says "I'm whatever Gotham needs me to be" and then you cut to him throwing away the gun with the scream of his mother and the Ducard voiceover. And then there's "Batman has no limits" overlayed on top of the shattering batsymbol!!!! (*faintz from da sheer awesomeness here*), and THEN there's the way you coupled the "If you make yourself more than just a man" quote over him running/staggering and rising up amidst the swarming bats...and how "Legend, Mr. Wayne..." is juuuust before "...a dark knight" WONNNDDERRRRFUULLLLLL!!! You've captured everything Batman/Bruce is about in just a short video. I'm in awe ( ... )

You are very welcome dear! *hugs back* I am so glad, and once again you did a fantastic job. Watching your vid (overandover) was the last thing I did last night before heading up to bed, and it was all I talked about with my brother when we said goodnight to each other. I made him watch it, too, and even he was impressed! He said it was spiffy and very well made. ;-)
Ducard gets A LOT of good lines in BB! It's interesting how much truth there is in his sayings (and those of the Joker too, for that matter), only they've been twisted by evil and taken out of context. I love the scene when Bruce says, "That's why it's so important. It separates us from them." PowerfulAre you planning on making any more vids? Because I'm waiting impatiently for them, LOL! ;-P ( ... )

Yes Yes ! I loved Ducard coz he really had some of the best and most interesting lines :)
And I completely agree about the Joker`s lines as well! Its so wierd to admit but it does come pretty close to the truth about how selfish society can be ....
Overall I love the themes they deal with in both films . Very deep!
I love the scene when Bruce says, "That's why it's so important. It separates us from them." Powerful. Yes! It really makes one think doesn`t it ? :D ( ... )
