*tips his hat in return, smiling slightly* Lovely day, isn't it? *it's impossible to tell if he means it or not, but his shirt is sticking to him under his coat, and there's a fine sheen of sweat on his brow, and so perhaps sarcasm can be deduced, if not quite heard*

*raises an eyebrow* It's near enough to hot as hell, so I don't know if I'd consider that lovely.

*laughs, softly* No, I suppose it isn't, though most any day has its charms.

*because even Lord Henry should have to check in with his wife sometimes, Victoria's going to be coming into view any second-- with few friends and a gentleman who's gone away for a time, she doesn't have much to occupy her time these days, and so she's been walking through the Mansion gardens*

*he watches her a moment (it's that look he gets when he's been thinking, and doesn't like what he's thought of) before crushing out his cigarette underfoot, then smiles (the for-company smile, easily recognizable)* Victoria, darling! How good to see you.

*she might be looking a little sad, but only if one can see beneath the proper smile that she nearly always wears; perhaps Lord Henry can see, but perhaps he's also used to it* Oh, Harry! *smiles and unconciously reaches to fix her hair* I hadn't seen you there, dear.
