Title: The Heroes Bride (5/?)
Characters/Pairings: Overall, Peter, Claude, Bennet, Adam, Mohinder, Sylar; In this chapter Peter, Adam, and passing mentions of others.
Summary: My version of The Princess Bride, with assorted Heroes characters, centering on Plaude.
Rating: Overall, won't get beyond R, probably not PG-13 even. PG in this part.

“Never takes prisoners,” Peter looked up at him, offered a tight smile.

Ah, I was wondering how that particular point was going to be done.

“For god’s sake, Peter,” Adam almost, actually shouted, exasperation the only real emotion he’d seen from the young man yet, “It’s not that bloody simple!”

That, surprisingly, was the best part for me. Of course, I blame that on our own debates. ;)

This is nicely done, as always.

Ah, I was wondering how that particular point was going to be done.

It was actually kind a late addition, plot wise. But too good to pass up, so...in it went.

That, surprisingly, was the best part for me. Of course, I blame that on our own debates. ;)

Hee. I'm glad you liked it, and that I captured that dynamic. And Adam becoming impatient is...quite fun.

Well, there was only one thing left for a man of such dignity as himself to do.

Go to the highest tower of the castle, a constant reminder that one of his ancestors had had a great deal more to worry about than himself, and sulk.

*snorts* That is just so Adam.

I like how you wove together the Heroes canon with the Princess Bride in Claude's involvement with Adam's Company. And I feel so sad for Peter. Don't worry. Your Claude will come back to you.

Oooh, very cool combination of Dread Pirate Roberts and Takezo Kensei. It totally works too- considering Kensei's negotiable identity.

Oh Peter, the poor sweet boy. I certainly hope this doesn't differ very much from Princess Bride... Aw, I feel just like little Fred Savage over here, thinking, "Murdered by samurai is good." and then, "Claude's only faking, right? He's not really- dead... right?"

I very much loved myself for coming up with that, I have to say.

I certainly hope this doesn't differ very much from Princess Bride...

Don't look so worried! It doesn't! Next chapter we get right back on the PB rails...it was supposed to go here but...it would've been freakishly long.
