I've noticed that the hungrier I get, the more I give into unhealthy cravings. So if I eat before I get too hungry, I can eat anything without it feeling like a sacrifice. But I drink too much soda (Japan has a depressingly small variety of commercially available juice).

Since I've become unable to eat dairy products, I've lost a ton of weight. This might be the least I've ever weighed (I don't have a scale, but I look thinner than ever, so I probably weigh accordingly). The reason is that almost everything I used to eat (especially in Japan) contained lactose. I used to drink milk like water, and now I drink water like water. That's at least 1,000 calories a day just from that (I drank a LOT of milk, it used to be that a gallon wasn't enough for the day). Although it's not a very healthy weight loss. At my thinnest 7 years ago, I weighed 125 pounds. Now I look thinner than then, and I'm continuing to lose weight.
