After many years of contemplation I finally bought myself a Mac. I had always wanted one and when OS X came out I wanted one all the more. A *nix that works out of the box, what more could the average wannabe hacker ask for

I've built Emacs with gtk+osx and it looks pretty neat. In fact I'm begninning to regret not getting the faster PowerBook.

I rest my case :-P

Well the two statements were not related. Sorry if they appeared to be.

I have no problems with the speed of my current PowerBook. However, judging by how much I love it I was thinking more on the lines of "maybe an year down the line I'll wish I had more CPU power"

In fact, it's a lot faster than the HP desktops I had at my last job.
