I can't help but respect how outspoken he is, but I also can't help but giggle every time I see him; I think it was his stirring rendition of Tennessee Ernie Ford's "16 Tons" that did it for me. ;P

It's strange to live in a country (the US) where it's considered normal for our head of state to say that God tells them to do things. Billy Bragg said, upon hearing that Bush said God told him to invade Iraq.

Oh sweetheart, I don't think it's considered normal at all. I think his fundamentalist supporters see it as "divine right", while the rest of the country would either fall into the "blind with sanity-induced rage" or "flabbergasted to the point of paralysis" categories.
