It's strange to live in a country (the US) where it's considered normal for our head of state to say that God tells them to do things. Billy Bragg said, upon hearing that Bush said God told him to invade Iraq.

I think his fundamentalist supporters see it as "divine right", while the rest of the country would either fall into the "blind with sanity-induced rage" or "flabbergasted to the point of paralysis" categories.
