Ohhh... it was just wonderful! I really loved it. I've been a fan of Dykes To Watch Out For for years now, so I was very excited to hear about Fun Home.
Yet while the art is just as good - if not better - in this book than with DTWOF, and the same sort clear-eyed astounding intelligence as found in that series is seen throughout here, the story is a very personal one. Being queer and having grown up in and around funeral homes for the majority of my young life, it resonated with me in a very special way.
I highly recommend it. :)

"Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass" is one of those books that i'd like to read but feel embarrassed about not having read already... i think i've talked about this phenomenon on your journal before, actually.
