My fucking father just tried to stop the antibiotics from getting in. Why would he DO that?! He's sick and he needs them because the doctors say he's still not getting better! Why does he want to leave me too?! FUCKING HELL!

I can't imagine Joe ever wanting to leave you, Julian. I'm sure that wasn't what was on his mind. We all do crazy things in our darkest hours. I'll go talk to him. Do you want to come with me?

I never would have thought so either. But sometimes things aren't what they look like on the surface. When I was sixteen, I did something that really looked like I tried to kill myself. That wasn't what it was, though; it was something very different. I don't think we can necessarily know what was going on until we talk to Joe himself.

Only reason anyone does something like that. He's seriously messed up, and he needs someone to help him through this. I know the term "cry for help" is like a cliche these days, but that's what it looks like to me.
