It is a result of having spent last spring break alone at Concordia. For over three days I did not see anyone nor speak to anyone save myself. To relieve the monotony, I kept chaning my voice when I spoke aloud. At some point, my voice settled into Billy Boyd's, and ever since, without any conscious decision, I have a faux-Scottish accent when I'm alone and speaking to myself.
I do not know if this explanation makes me more or less crazy.
