It's got a sort of dragon-scale pattern. Not perfect though, but I've already re-painted a few of the panels several times and I'm sick of smelling spraypaint. Mainly the patterns don't match perfectly from one panel to the next. I think I'm actually more proud of the wiring job I did on the inside to keep all the cables nicely together and not obstructing airflow (which I'll also take pictures of).
Nice. What are the specs on that? We just upgraded a few weeks ago to an HP Pavilion with an AMD Phenom X3 8450 triple-core processor, GB of RAM, 640 GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics...and it still lags enough that we can't get through Test Chamber 18 on Portal.
Part of the reason you might be having a lot of lag is from whatever software HP installs along with Windows that is tying up your processor, along with any anti-virus software you're running (assuming it's something bloated like McAffee or Norton rather than AVG). Also if you got it recently, it's probably running Vista, which is also slow and processor intensive.
Also the GeForce 6150 is kind of an older chipset, although it's likely built into the motherboard, which isn't bad for normal use, but not for any serious gaming. Also you should probably look at upgrading to 2GB of RAM, especially if you are running Vista.
Actually, there was a typo in my spec list...we're running 4 GB or RAM right now. And alas, it came with Norton and Vista...Vista we're sort of stuck with, but we plan to replace Norton as soon as it's feasible. I'm not familiar with AVG, though.
4 GB should be enough then. The one benefit of Vista is that you'll actually be able to use the full 4 GB. Norton is probably what is killing your PC the most. AVG is anti-virus software that you can get for free as an individual (companies need to pay). Unlike Nortan or McAffee it doesn't bog down computer resources when it's running.
