Fandom: CSI:NY
Pairing: Don Flack/ Truly Pack (OC)
1sentence Theme set: Epsilon
Rating: PG-T
Author's Notes: Oh so much to mention. This goes over almost the whole spectrum of their relationship. I present the first apearence of Alice Flack as well as a new oc (who isn't mentioned much) name: Lailani Oakland. Hazel (Truly's mom) is mentioned quite a bit, she is , after all, a very, very big giant enourmous plot point of death.

1. Motion

He went through the motions over and over in his head until his head actually hurt from think about it too much because he couldn't explain it to himself or to Stella why he and Truly kept ending up in bed together: and he knew he was going to pay for that answer when Stella looked at him like he was a teenager who'd been told one to many times not to sneak out of the house to see his girlfriend.

2.Cool

His cheek felt cool against her forehead as he rolled over in his sleep and pulled her closer to him, (making her feel like he really did want her) which was nice.

3. Young

He found a picture of what he assumed was her high school prom: She was pretty, younger, untarnished, she had her brother and she looked happy, he found it next to her heroine when he was looking for a sauce pan and the first thought that crossed Don's mind was 'why couldn't she be happy now?'

4. Last

It kind of hurt to know that he was the last person to know Truly was out of rehab so quickly, he knew he was the last person to know because nobody but him looked surprised when she showed up in the office to see him with tears in her eyes and (what he thought) was some lame excuse on her lips....

5.Wrong

"You know, the best part about listening to the woman at the theater complain about their boyfriends is knowing that I can't ever go wrong," said Truly, dropping her head against Don's shoulder before she finished her thought: "Because I always end up with you; best guy of all."

6. Gentle

She was completely passed out, which was a bad thing because she only passed out when she was drunk; which was, again, a bad thing because Truly didn't drink often so Don had to be gentle whenever she asked what she ended up doing in the morning- it was never a good answer because she usually ended up with him.

7. One

"What do you think I was going to do?" asked Truly, tilting her head to the side, suddenly realizing that she must have been the only one who didn’t understand why Don was so angry, which usually wasn’t the case, normally, she’d know.

8. Thousand

"If there was even one thousandth of a chance that you would maybe shut up for two seconds and let me tell you how I felt about you, maybe we would have gotten married sooner," said Don with a wide grin on his face, pulling Truly into his arms and burrowing his face in her hair.

9. King

"I always dreamed that one day a handsome prince or king or something would come and rescue me from my mother one day," said Truly softly (staring at an old, black and white photo of her mother and running her fingers gently over the frame), pushing the picture until it crashed off the shelf, splitting into pieces as it hit the tile at her and Don’s feet.

10. Learn

"I always thought my mother was normal and sweet to me and just wanted to protect me...until I snuck over to a friends house (because I was taught that you were weak if you had friends, because friends brought out the real you, and that was bad, obviously), her mother was so nice to me that I had to leave about thirty minutes after meeting her, and when I got home I cried because I realized right then how much I knew my mother hated me," said Truly softly, her jaw shaking as tears welled up in her eyes, spilling over her cheeks as Don tried to pull her closer to him.

11. Blur

The rest of the funeral was a blur to Truly, a bit because she wasn’t really all there and glancing around the room for that Flack character, wondering if he’d left out of shame or just because he was embarrassed to be around her after they’d had sex in a church.

12. Wait

"Don, don’t," sighed Truly, picking herself up off the bed and following him out of her bedroom, slightly surprised to see him waiting for her at her front door with a smirk on his face the said ‘I-win.’

13. Change

Don looked Truly over after she pushed him away, on one hand he was disappointed, but on the other he was kind of proud of her, she’d grown up in a lot of ways which kind of made him wonder if he could change for the better too.

14. Command

"Marry me."

15. Hold

It was probably the first time that Truly didn’t want to jump Don, instead just settling for slipping her hand into his and smiling shyly down at her feet when he turned his head to look at her, ignoring whatever the priest had to say to them about love and happiness- he had her.

16. Need

Don figured that the harder Truly shoved him up against a wall and the harder she kissed him the more she needed him, even though she wouldn’t admit it.

17. Vision

"This your sister?" asked Don, picking up a picture of Frankie and (once Frankie nodded) his older sister; Don tilted his head to the side, his eyes scanning her face, rolling his eyes after he heard Frankie tell him to stop thinking about her naked.

18. Attention

Truly hesitated before pulling off her coat, watching Don’s face change from amusement (at her hesitation) to completely flabbergasted as he took in her outfit, along with a few other people around them.

19. Soul

"You’re my heart and soul and I can’t believe how much I put up with you, but I don’t think I could have it any other way because I love you and that’s all that matters; despite what she thinks you’ll end up being, and despite what she thinks I’ll end up doing to you- I love you."

20. Picture

"Okay, picture this: For once we don’t have sex and just talk instead," suggested Don, looking at Truly in amusement as she gave him a ‘what-are-you-crazy?’ look.

21. Fool

"I really don’t want to make a fool of myself out there," muttered Truly, holding onto Don a little tighter as Sabrina called her name again, making a joke about how it was her first show and she’d be out as soon as her boyfriend finished making it all better.

22. Mad

"I swear I don’t think I’ve ever been so mad at her in my entire life, she had no reason to just barge in here without a care in the world with my father’s will in her hand demanding to know who you were and how I was and-" Don interrupted Truly with a quick kiss and motioned for her to continue on her babbling, smirking in amusement when she couldn’t think of anything to say.

23. Child

"Easy parts over, now what the hell are we gonna call her for the rest of her life?" asked Truly, dropping her head onto Don’s shoulder.

24. Now

"Now, are you ever gonna introduce me to your sister?" asked Don nonchalantly after Frankie shoved him out of his sisters apartment, "Give me her name perhaps?"

25. Shadow

Truly watched Don make shadow puppets with their daughter, wondering when they strarted referring to fun as this rather than picking fights with each other.

26. Goodbye

"Are you saying goodbye as in I'll see you tomorrow goodbye or...goodbye-goodbye...? ...Tru?"

27. Hide

"She doesn't hide shit from me anymore," said Don, elbowing Danny in the ribs, shooting him a glare then hesitating- "At least I don't think she does...."

28. Fortune

"Now read your fortune cookie out loud and add the words 'in bed' at the end," said Alice, reaching across the table to grab another cookie, only to have the bag pulled away by her unamused (but secrectly very amused) parents.

29. Safe

"You had better hope to God that he's safe, Mac, because you're also fucking with my life the longer you hold him in there!" shouted Truly almost hysterically at Mac, starting to draw the crowd of reporters over to them.

30. Ghost

"You ever wonder if Frankie became a ghost after he'd been killed?" asked Truly softly, looking at Don who had frozen with his coffee cup about halfway to his open mouth.

31. Book

"You pissed her off," hissed Truly with tears in her eyes, pulling Don out of harms way as her mother chucked another book at them.

32. Eye

The second Don left that staircase he felt wrong and dirty, almost like everyone knew what they did and everyone had their eyes on him- especially her eyes.

33. Never

"I never wanted to see you again," whispered Truly, trying not to wake Don as her mother stood in front of their bed, looking down at her daughters choice of spouse, ignoring Truly's hand on her arm as she was yanked away.

34. Sing

Don froze in his tracks and backed up slowly, glancing into his daughters nursery to listen to Truly half humming, half singing her to sleep.

35. Sudden

"Mommy? How did you and Daddy meet?" Truly’s mouth opened as she looked over at Don, who’d dropped something that sounded like a pot in their kitchen upon hearing
the question.

36. Stop

Truly covered Don’s mouth with her hand as he took a step in front of her to say something as equally insulting to Lailani in Truly’s defense, making the woman in front of them smirk.

37. Time

"I don’t think I’ve had the time to comment on your hair yet," said Truly, crossing her arms over her chest in amusement as she turned to look at Don with his short hair; laughing at him as he ran his fingers through it.

38. Wash

"If I really wanted to forget you I would have put on Alanis Morissette and cried," said Don, watching Truly bite her lip to keep from laughing.

39. Torn

"Mommy, don’t leave," whispered Truly, reaching out to grab Hazel’s wrist; Don looked at Truly with a mixture of hurt and astonishment, and Truly looked back at him with the same expression.

40. History

Don smirked as he thought about everything they’ve done together, some of it wasn’t something to smile about; he knew they were never going to change no matter how much they wanted to, because despite what they told everyone, they enjoyed being fucked up too much.

41. Power

"You’re fired Lailani," said Truly softly, gripping Don’s hand a little too tightly as she glare at her ex-partner’s back as she retreated out of their studio throwing curses at her as she left.

42. Brother

"So, who’s this detective friend of your’s?" asked Truly, sitting next to Frankie on her couch; he rolled his eyes and muttered something that sounded like ‘God, not you too’.

43. God

"My parents never took me to church, so forgive me if I still don’t seem really interested in this," said Truly, staring boredly up at the chapel in front of them.

44. Wall

"Would you rather I was completely simple and not mysterious?" asked Truly, giving Don a whack after he nodded.

45. Naked

Don let his hand drift over the skin on Truly’s back, pulling her closer to him and burrowing his face in the slope of her neck.

46. Drive

"Just drive," Don muttered, ignoring the concerned look Truly gave him as he climbed back into the car after grabbing a change of clothes from his apartment.

47. Harm

"Are you okay, baby?" Truly asked, placing her hand on Don’s shoulder, pushing him back so she could see his face clearer by the lamplight in her apartment; moving on the couch until she was sitting in front of him, pushing his bangs out of his eyes so she could see the bruise along his jaw.

48. Precious

"I love you, so much."

49. Hunger

"No PDA in the lab’s Don," said Mac, passing by Truly and Don in the hallway, startling the two and breaking them apart.

50. Believe

"I just wanted to let you know, that I’m always here for a one-night-stand if you need me, ‘cause it’s kind of special, you know, the way we fuck each other over all the time."
