He Had an Antic Disposition. . .

I write in deep sorrow and shock knowing that Jesse Lopata, a true light of talent, humor, intelligence and all other good things, just passed away on Wednesday. He is the first of my students/actors I have lost. He was certainly far, far too young. Many of you knew him. I am sorry to be the bearer of this sorrowful news. He had been battling ( Read more... )

The first words that came to me still ring true: "Oh, my God!"

I had no idea he was ill, and I do remember his voice, and what a nice young man he was. Thank you for letting us know.

I'm stunned beyond words. . . he was such a gifted young man, and working with him was such a delight. I had always thought that someday I'd hear about him doing something extraordinary and be able to say, "I knew him when. . ." I'm heartbroken to hear that he's gone. While I'm glad to have known him while he was here, I can't help but feel as if we've all been cheated out of knowing what might have been.

I will light a candle for him at York Minster. It's the least a dastardly aristocrat can do for his faithful minion.

He will be in my thoughts.

Oh no! I too am just stunned. I had expected him to go on to do marvelous and wonderful things and perhaps be a Hollywood star. Stunned...it's really the word for this sad news.

I wondered who had died when I saw Stephan's LJ, but I _never_ expected it to be Jesse. If you see them, please express my condolences to his parents, as I will not be able to attend the memorial service tomorrow. I will be donating to CHAD in his name.

He will be in my thoughts as well.

I saw that someone had died in several of my friends' facebook status messages and never, ever thought of Jesse. Not even a glimmer. Such a talented man.

Just.... stunned....
