One Tired Bear

That is me. I've been a bit off-line lately so I can just catch up with myself. I haven't even been able to check my work email regularly! This is something unheard of for me. But all is well. And some stuff is better. Camp started at work. I'm teaching four classes a day, with lunch and a performance in the middle of the day, every day. I' ( Read more... )

Imagine working in a place that is both technical and specializes in communications during Mercury Retrograde. We have had tech issues up the wazoo all during this particular retrograde session. Crazy.

That sounds like it'll be a blast, and have a lovely payoff at the end.

Sorry about the car troubles - unfortunate side effect of all of my good luck. :) Things will be back to normal for you soon...but I hope my star continues to rise. ;)

Have fun at rehearsal!

Thanks! Yeah, it is going to be pretty fun to work on.

I also hope things continue to glow brightly for you, no matter what Mercury is up to.

That sounds like a very full but fulfilling schedule.
I smiled when I saw your post because I think Avellana is following in your footsteps. She is all excited because she is old enough this year to take the stage-combat class at the summer circus we take part in each year. She commented that "stage combat is an important skill for an actress to have."
She and Merryn are also happy because they are going to see their first performance of Shakespeare. They love Midsummer's Night and it so happens that it will be performed on the Boston Common for free this summer.
I hope your summer will continue to go well.

Hey there!

That is very cool. Stage combat is a very important skill. And it isn't often taught. It's particularly important in Shakespeare plays. But there are certainly other shows that require it.

Midsummer is such a lovely play. I'm sure it will be a wonderful show.

The premise is that Shakespeare's witches instigate some of the other female characters to rebel against Shakespeare to demand more action in their roles, like fights.

This sounds like it should be a Terry Pratchett novel.

That's funny. I mentioned that to my kids today, and those who know Terry Pratchett definitely agree with you. :)
